The Getaway Studio Bed and Breakfast is nestled on the east side of Spokane Valley, Washington. You will find a completely furnished apartment that may sleep up to four decorated to reflect a country getaway. This includes a private bath, shower and tub, private entrance, full kitchen with dishes, stove, cook top, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, electric pan, deck barbeque, coffee pot, and dining table. There is a comfortable king-size bed in a private bedroom, queen sleeper sofa in the living room, flat screen High Definition TV/VCR with movie channels, and AC/heat. G Getaway Studio is one of the few accommodations in the area that provide full concierge services. Whether you want a quiet getaway, a writer’s getaway, or whatever reason, Getaway Studio is the ideal location for your small party, reading, or getaway. Getaway Studio can arrange an in-house massage by advance appointment only. In the morning with a cup of coffee in hand, walk along the country lane and enjoy the Icelandic horses in the pastures. Mountain Valley View Farm, Inc. is a certified Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary. Stroll around the perimeter of the grounds and enjoy the soothing sounds of the country. Fall brings the orchard harvest and apple cider press along with other ciders. During the summer months, swim in our outdoor pool or relax in our outdoor hot tub. In the evening, relax on a lawn chair or private patio and view the sky exploding with stars. Strolling on our property, one enjoys the beautiful gardens, and a panoramic view of Spokane Valley and, in the distance, Mica Peak, and Washington’s country quiet.
In less than five minutes, you can be in "downtown" Greenacres to visit the quaint shops or Spokane Valley to visit the Spokane Valley Mall. There are 76 lakes within 50 miles of our farm. Thirty minutes west is downtown Spokane and the University district. Spokane Falls is the name of the series of waterfalls and dams on the Spokane River in downtown Spokane, Washington. The falls consist of Upper and Lower Falls. Be sure to see Spokane Falls and many other tourist attractions while in Spokane. Thirty minutes east is Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Coeur d’Alene offers a range of activities, some designed to stimulate the urban escapist seeking extreme adventure, while other activities bring family members together for a vacation filled with fun and relaxation. Downtown Coeur d’Alene features over 100 merchants in a six-block area and seven art galleries in a seven-block area. Owner-operators offer unique, eclectic treasures, which are truly a shopper’s dream. Culinary delights abound, whether your tastes lean toward fresh Northwest salmon, Idaho potato pizza, huckleberry pancakes, or a juicy Priest River buffalo steak. With award-winning chefs and sidewalk vendors, there is something for every palate. What better way to cap your day in Coeur d’Alene than with a Northwest microbrew or a selection from a world-renowned wine cellar. For those who enjoy water sports, Lake Coeur d’Alene offers many opportunities. For the birdwatchers, Lake Coeur d’Alene has the largest nesting population of osprey in the western United States.
Overnight stabling at Mountain Valley View Farm, Inc. is available for guest horses. Our barn has four indoor stalls and four outdoor paddocks to rest and exercise your weary horses. We have pet-friendly facilities, and if you want to bring your pets for a stopover, they are welcome. Bring your horses to stop over and find some exciting trails through our nearby beautiful Inland Northwest Washington mountains. Ride from the property. Reasonably priced overnight stabling available for guest horses. Off in the distance, we have chickens and raise organic eggs for our guests. We also will have ducks to enjoy. During the spring, summer, fall, and winter, stay with us for reading, writing, cooking, walking and biking, horseback riding, or just a quiet time away from home. Guests can relax in the sitting room with a good book, watch a movie from our video library, or warm themselves by the fire with a cup of hot cider. Stargazing is at its best when submerged in the outdoor spa.
Summer: Long summer days and warm nights enable backpackers and those on horseback to explore neighboring public lands. About 6 miles from our farm, you will find Dishman Hills Natural Resources Conservation Area, which is a 530-acre area protected by a combination of public (Spokane County Parks and Recreation Department and Washington Department of Natural Resources) and nonprofit (Dishman Hills Natural Area Association) groups, located in Spokane County, Washington. A “must see” for birdwatchers. Fall: In September and October, the orchard harvest of Mountain Valley View Farm, Inc. is at the height of fall foliage. A must for photographers. Winter: Skiing and snowboarding from Mount Spokane. Mount Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park is a nonprofit winter alpine recreation facility located within Mount Spokane State Park, just 28 miles from downtown Spokane. Summit Elevation: 5,889 feet. Base Lodge Elevation: 4,200 feet. They offer affordable skiing and snowboarding with 5 double-chair lifts over 1,425 acres and 2,000 vertical feet, 45 designated runs, 16 night skiing runs, slopes for all ability levels, a mile-long terrain park, and the best undiscovered tree skiing in the area. They offer free shuttle service, ski check, and Wi-Fi access, convenient bag check, and daycare. They even offer bus service from several Spokane locations on most weekends! For almost 70 years, their instructors have helped develop a passion for the mountain experience among millions of children and adults in and around the Spokane community. The instructors are trained to teach the little ones age 3 on up, to age 70 or more! They have both certified and non-certified instructors who can teach skills in many areas, or if you just want to learn or improve the skills you may already have. Mountain Valley View Farm, Inc. raises honeybees and sells natural honey to their local customers and ships honey on a limited basis. We also offer gifts items with honeybee and honey themes, as well as honey cookbooks. We decided to try our hand at a tiny vineyard, planting approved cuttings of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes.

Goat milk has a much higher protein content and also contains more calcium, Vitamin A, riboflavin, and good fat.

uests staying in our completely furnished apartment are welcome to all facilities at Mountain Valley View Farm, Inc. All guests are greeted each morning with our hot Getaway Studio breakfast, featuring your choice of a breakfast casserole or quiche, fresh baked goods, cereal, old-fashioned oatmeal, fruit, juice, fresh roast coffee, and assorted teas. All this for $125.00 (plus sales tax) per night based on double occupancy, and $15.00 for each additional occupant. Breakfast is included in this rate. The Getaway Studio guestroom is suitable for children. Our unit is family and pet friendly.
Getaway Studio is in close proximity to many outdoor activities including fishing, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, skiing, and is close to hundreds of miles of ATV and snowmobile trails. Spend your time here enjoying the great outdoors or relaxing in a lounge chair under the orchard trees. A hot tub, 40-foot outside pool, and outside spa are also on the grounds for your enjoyment.
In the spring and fall, particularly, we offer a unique opportunity for our guests to enjoy premier bird watching around our 30-acre Greenacres farm that is designated as an official Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary. In the babbling creek that runs across the back of our property, you can enjoy native plants and animals that come to visit for a cool retreat.
